Jesus told Nicodemus no one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless he is born of water and of the Spirit. You must be born again! I have been reading a lot of blogs lately, from especially one pastor that keeps trying to justify why he has sinners in his ministry and insist he cant have church with out them. Believe me I know as well as the next person that none of us are perfect. Seriously! We are human and we are made to fall. But should we not strive to remain blameless before the Lord? Especially if we are in Ministry. We are in leadership, shepards over the church, under the pastor who is under Jesus. None of us are perfect but if we allow people who blatantly sin in leadership, what are we telling the world? 1 Corinthians 5 says expel the immoral brother and let him get his junk worked out. Paul tells us not to judge the world but to definitely judge each other in the church! Just my opinion....

Jesus said how to know if you are born of the Spirit

A little less arguing and a little more action!

This past week, I have been reading blogs from various people in the city of Enterprise and I have come to the conclusion that people like to argue. This is sad to me, espescially since there are so many other things we could be doing with our time. Like leading people to Christ and serving the community to show His love to the people. Just because people have other theological diffrences does not mean that they are to be slandered all over the web. As long as we hold to the truths, That Jesus came to Earth And lived a life as Fully God and Fully man, He was Crucified and died on a cross and three days later he rose by the power of God, defeating death, Hell, and the grave. Jesus died for sins and who ever believes in him will be saved. 1 Corinthians 3:3 says (You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men)? Seriously people, lets try put our diffrences aside and go out and try to reach this city for Jesus!!

Serving the Community
This issue has been on my heart for the last month or so. It is servitude and what have I been doing to serve God and my community. Well I can obviously tell that I have not been doing much! I have a new perspective on this issue after reading "Servolution" by Dino Rizzo. What have we been doing as a church to show the love of Jesus to our communities? I can tell that HighPointe Church is turning into an amazing place of worship because this is becoming our main and central purpose as a church. To serve Jesus without holding anything back! To start things off, this Friday night we are having our first community wide worship service called The Summit! We will be working with the local DHR and we will be accepting school supplies for the children who may be less fortunate, hoping to give some relief to parents who may be struggling financially. So come to The Summit for an awesome time in the presence of God and be ready to serve! After all, that is what Jesus has called us to do!Tuesday, July 14, 2009
Thorn in the flesh
Ouch!! Today I was reading in 2 Corinthians and I came across the story of Paul and the "thorn in the flesh". It does not mention what Paul's thorn was but it does mention that he hated it so much that he asked God to remove it three times. I was thinking, don't we all have our thorns? Something may be an illness or physical element about ourselves that hinders us. Just remember like 2 Corinthians says " My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" God gets the glory cause he always takes care of us!
